Does anyone else ever feel like we're in another world from the rest of humanity? It's pretty insane but it's nice to know other people feel this way. Makes me feel less alone.

I'm of the opinion that there is only one world. It is subject to many interpretations, depending on your sensory equipment. Crawling around in it is probably different than flying over it. Using radar or sonar to navigate, is probably a bit different than using vision.

Just the sense of vision has many different attributes. Owls see differently than humans, and turkeys have 10X the resolution of the human eye. (which is why they don't care for TV It is just too grainy for them.)

Consider all of that, then add the fact that pathology can negatively affect one's sensory systems and put them in an altered state of consciousness, and it's probably better that we have only one world. It is enough.

This is very true; I've been trying to get my pet turkey to watch my favorite shows with me, but he just doesn't seem to get into them.

Oh, Gobbles, you are simply incorrigeable!

This is the essence of what DP is.........Feeling detached or seperated from both your sense of self and also your surroundings...It often feels like theres a distance or some kind of mental pane of glass between yourself and the outside world.....

DE... PERSON... ALIZED.... The word speaks volumes in itself....
