...could replace their old Prime Minister with an unelected, Poet-Philosopher. Maybe this is the time of Plato's Philosopher Kings. Except Dominique de Villepin is a pretty crap poet, and his philosophy sounds like he has copied it from 'A childrens guide to..'

Man, you Europeans are so up on what's going on in Europe. Maybe that's why you make fun of Americans...we pretty much don't care what's going on in the world, unless it's funny (God Bless you, Daily Show), like "unelected poet-philosophers".

We don't make fun of the Americans, rather we are irritated by some of their attributes and occassional boreish attitudes towards the outside world, which the english find disagreeable. We do make fun of the europeans however...especially the French and Germans. Because they deserve it. :D

It is funnt, because I was thinking earlier in the week that the French and the Germans are seen as the most "European" in their ways of all the European countries. They get parodied a lot on the Simpsons, too. I love the episode where the family opens the hostel, and there's that one obnoxious German guy berating Marge about everything that's wrong with America.
