My favioute cartoon series would have to be simpsons, family guy I havent seen many episodes of but the 3 episodes I did see were hilarious even when I had 2 days of no sleep! South park is amusing as well, but moe in a crude way, although occasionelly south park is clever as well.

Simpsons is jsut funny on so many levels though, the refercnes they drop to films and the irony etc etc

Heh, that's probably one of the reasons you found them terribly funny. :p

Yeah, the number of times they've drop a subtle (or not so subtle) drug reference is hilarious.

I have to go for the Simpsons, too.

Hey Coop! Guess what was on at 2:30 last night? Cartoon Planet! It'll be on the rest of this week, too. I was hoping they'd do Cooking With Brak where he makes the Pu Pu Pu Platter ("It's that extra Pu that makes it special"). I didn't get that, but they did sing "Hoodely Hoo", which was nice and ridiculously absurd. I don't know how to use the VCR; I've either gotta get one of the kids to show me, or I have to stay up late every night. Hell, maybe I'll do both.

The Siiiimmmpsssonnss...DOH! BUT when I had cable years ago nothing could top Space Ghost. When he had Ice Tea on there and Zorak tried to hyptnotize him.."Ice Tea...you will hook Zorak up with some FLY honeys..." I even taped it and put it in a mix tape of music I made just for that line.

And all the uncomfortable silences when SpaceGhost just sat there staring..too hilarious!

King of the Hill if only for Bobby and Kahn next door, funny lines thye get, good stuff. I've never seen Family Guy or Spongebob. Southpark I loved in the beginning for shock factor if nothing else. Loved old Ren & Stimpy, Beavis and Butthead... Back in the day it would of course be Rocky and Bulwinkle!!

Rocky and Bulwinkle, finally one I know!

So what channel is this Cartoon Planet on?
Cartoon Planet - 2:30 AM Cartoon Network. It's driving me nuts that I'm too stupid to figure out how to program my VCR. Guess I'll be staying up late. I'm gonna watch the lunar eclipse anyway, so what's 2 more hours?

Wasn't Rocky/Bullwinkle the best? Remember when they played football for Wassamatta U.?

I managed to tape it last night!!!! I taped 6 hours of other stuff in the process, had to stay up until 2:00, and had to leave the TV on all night because I can't figure out how to use the timer (did I mention that I'm a computer programmer? Shouldn't I be able to figure this out?), but it's worth it. If I can ever figure out how to make copies, I'll send them to you.

Yes, I do remember Wassamatta U. They would wear those sweatshirts with the W on it. And Boris and Natasha. And what was that line about "and now a message from a flounder" and a bottle would drop down with a hook on it or something? Foggy memory. I am now going to see if it's on somewhere sometime in cartoonland. It must be.

What was that line you used, Servo, about us being brain dead or something like that? Well, that is why we can't do the VCR except for on, off, pause, rewind and fast forward. Kind of reminds me of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division...keep all higher forms of math away from me. I am encouraged that we're in good company with agentcooper's lack of ths skill also. :D

Oops, I was typing while you posted about how you can halfway tape. If you can't set the timer that only puts you at one level above us.

No, I can't believe you are a programmer. You must be VCR phobic. Is there therapy for that 'cause I have it too? lol

I hate to say it, but it seems to be more ineptitude than phobia. I did try to program the thing. Hell, I spent hours on it. Get this: I even got out the manual! My kids were amazed; they said they were gonna take a picture to prove that I'd actually read up on how to do something.

Rocky: "Look, Bullwinkle, a message in a bottle."

Bullwinkle: "Fan mail from some flounder?"

Even got out the manual ??? Well Tom, that is very brave for a man to say and therefore I believe you shall be healed of anything that ails you!

Exactly!! Fan mail from some flounder.
