I'm sorry you went through that. Sounds horribly rough! Are you all right now?

Usually panic attacks follow the same criteria of symptoms:

  • Feeling trapped. Having a sense of terror and dread.
  • Heart racing, as well as heavy and accelerated breathing.
  • Loss of control, coincides with the sense of dread.

Do you feel these symptoms relate to the scenario you were in?

Its kinda hard to explain, its like every morning I'm ok. Around the afternoon is when my dp starts getting intense. I was walking and just started to feel high, like a bad weed trip
Is there anything in the afternoon that triggers your depersonalization? Why do you think the afternoons are worse for you?

I used to get mine very late into the evening. The nighttime and darkness made everything feel a lot more intense, as though I was trapped.

That's what I'm trying to figure out myself. I can deal with the nighttime, its not so bad. But just like you explained I have that feeling of being trapped, like I'm about to disappear or something. I have an appointment tomorrow to see my psychiatrist and I'm going to let her know. I don't know if its the Lexapro that I'm on or not

Speaking to your psychiatrist seems like a good idea. I hope you figure things out! It is rather weird that it happens in the afternoon and not at night.

Keep us updated, if you'd like! Good luck!
