I want to move to NY for a little while at least. Always have wanted to. And I spend so much time researching it and figured I would ask you guys for some advice. First of all, how do you afford to live there!? It's so expensive. How much is an ok apartment not in a bad section? I'm in Finance so I think I can find a job in NY. I'm sure it will be a crappy job though since I'm not an NYU grad or Ivy Leaguer. But how much money do I need to make in NY to live? It's just me so I only have to afford to take care of myself. What's life like there? Hard to meet people? Can any of the New Yorkers here give me some tips? It seems like such an intimidating place, but I love it there and would appreciate any advice you all have to offer. Thanks.
