I've tried the natural route many times, w/o any relief, and huge hole in my wallet. I've tried all of the vitamins and supplements, homeopathic things, yoga, meditation, and nothing worked, well maybe minimal help. While these do work for some, i believe it's usually "normal" people w/ minor anxiety and depression. Sometimes more "clinical" people like us need the pharmaceutical grade stuff. I hate having to be on meds, but you might just have to accept that it is what u need. This isn't a life sentance. Of course we all hate being dependant on them, and we all hate the money grubbing pharm companies, i dispise them.
If you can afford it, i'd give the natural way a shot for sure, it's worth it. But don't be discouraged if it doesn't work.

I have recently seen a natural practictioner about my anxiety and other symptoms. The thing is, is he said that there was so much wrong with my body that I wouldn't find any quick fix for my anxiety unless I took benzos again. You often need to correct one system at a time and get your body straight before you can correct your anxiety. For some it takes a long time, for others it takes a short time. Too bad it's hard to find a doctor like this. And btw, I agree that these store stashed remedies such as st. johns wort and kava kava do not work and are a waste of money.

Forgot to mention one thing..One tip for all of us is to stop eating like shit. Not making any pretentious claims, but I sense alot of us are on bad diets. Eat right and I think most of what have an idea of what right is.

I agree. Cutting sugars and carbs to a minimum and having a balanced diet while getting the right nutrients and using coping skills is the best way to natually get rid of this.
