hell man thank you for bringing this up!

right now these are the symptoms that i am finding really hard to cope with!

when i talk and move (and things like breathing and seeing and hearing) it feels like i am on autopilot and have no control what so ever...

i am just doing things without controlling any of it and i get so scared...

i feel like i am split in two...a mntal part and a physical part...

i think it is just normal dp...

but that does make it any easier!

take care of yourself dreamcatcher...

think taking meds got me in to this. last november had constant headache, went to docs they gave me carmazapine 100g 2 a day. took 1 fell asleep, woke up in time for next dose, could fall asleep mid sentence, my partner was concerned so he went to docs to find out i was on wrong meds, they had given me anti epilepsy tabs and i lost my mindand all sense of reality. i took myself to hospital and they wouldnt section me, tried trazedone, that was shit icouldnt move my legs, tres citalopram which brought me out with an itchy rash. am now on propranolol and 100mg sertraline, which ive been taking for 3 weeks after refusing to take anything for the last 8 months. nothing was getting any better so thought i would give it a shot.

hell man i am sorry to hear this...

cannot believe they gave you the wrong meds!

i also believe that meds were to blame fro my dp/dr...when i had an allergic reaction to one...

then i refused to take meds in the fear of it happening again...

then the dp/dr came in...

but i am going to be starting meds tomorrow again as nothing else is helping and things are getting worse...

good to hear you are giving propranolol and sertraline a go though...

hope they help you...i really do...

Man...I have posted this "talking feels weird" thing many times and never got many responses. When I am down and DPed, this voice thing is my worst symptom! I HATE IT. I somewhat goes away when I feel better. But, I hate it so much when it is at its worst! Plus I am a Recruiter for a living and have to talk on the phone to call applicants about his/her resume and when it feels weird to talk, I hate having to try to pick up the phone! Sucks!
Take care and let me know if anyone finds things that work for this. I am on no meds.
