In the meantime, you can support your girlfriend by:
  • Encouraging her to talk about her thoughts and feelings
  • Helping her to stay grounded in reality by reminding her of the facts and encouraging her to engage in activities she enjoys
  • Being patient and understanding
  • Helping her to maintain a healthy lifestyle through exercise, healthy eating, and adequate sleep
  • Avoiding drugs and alcohol, which can worsen psychosis symptoms
  • Avoiding argument or try to convince her that her thoughts are not real, it could make her more anxious or agitated.
It's important to remember that recovery from psychosis can take time and it's a process. It's important to be patient and supportive throughout the journey.
