My doctor is so rubbish. Mental health team's made me worse.

Your story is all too common....Its disgusting...We are treated as expendable statistics not as human beings...
And its getting worse not better...
People in this country being told they will have to wait 6 months for a mental health appointment :-o
Welcome to the capitalist modern world.....I bet if you had thousands of dollars to spend on treatment you would be getting looked after very very well and very very quickly....Its sickening....

I have seen many doctors for short term medication treatment ,they all said I have to see a psychiatrist ,because he is specialized ,the cant offer much help in this area.I said ok refer me to one.
Called in January to get an appointment ,they said no places availaible until August

It is 6 months to see a psychiatrist in my area as well. This is how capitalism works in medicine - If you wish to be a provider of medical or dental services in my state,
you must first receive a permit from the state department of health. The department of health will evaluate any potential impact to the market place (pricing) caused
by your entry. If your entry would provide competition that would lower costs, you don't receive the permit. Care givers who have permits reap excessive profits.
A portion of those profits fund the medical lobby, which ensures that state legislatures maintain current health permit guidelines. They call it "free market economy".
Meanwhile, Cuba offers equivalent medical care for about 10% of what US citizens are required to pay.. Medical professionals typically enter the marketplace
heavily in debt from costs of training and schooling. If they don't dance to the tune, they will have no way of recouping their investment. Which is also why the 1%
that owns everything is so against abortion. Soylent Green is people.

I was in nhs care back in 2007... I hated it... frustrated me how mental health is not taken seriously enough... I always despised the way patients are treated and have always been passionate about it... it affects me deeply how patients are treated like garbage. I went into private care and had a really good rapport with my private therapist. Unfortunately I ended up back in nhs care again.

If medicine was really in a capitalism system, it would be 10x better. Only the companies with good product and waiting times would survive and thrive. That's the nature of capitalism. Socialised medicine is the devil, zero incentives to improve.

It's absurd to think about how clueless everyone is about DP. But to be fair, they have absolutely zero idea what we're going through, and there's no way for them to actually understand or experience it. If they did they might just jump offf a bridge.I'm sick of my doctor. She doesn't have a clue what I'm going thru. I'm trying to ignore what she says to me. Mental health team's have abused me. Sick of going thru this. I just feel numb no amount of distraction is helping me.
