I have severe DPDR, and I noticed a while ago that I don't remember conversations.
It's pretty hard for me to concentrate as it has alweys been since having DPDR. When I listen to someone, I can respond to what they say, we can have a conversation, but if I'm not 100% focusing on the conversation, I sometimes forget it ever existed.
Can DPDR cause this or it means something more serious?

Can anyone relate?

It does happen to me often to forget conversations, or to remember some of the content, but forgetting with whom I had the conversation. But generally, when people remind me of it I do have some memory of it. It's not totally forgotten. Most of the time.

Yes...... And when I thought of any conversation that i did 10 min ago, I feel like have dreamt of it and not really made any conversation...... I cannot understand movies...... Can't comprehend what others are saying to me...... Can't read a passage...... Do you feel the same?

I’ve personally never had problems with movies, but sometimes I need to restart a paragraph 5x because I can not memorize a single word from it. And I got so used to the whole DPDR experience, that I almost can predict if I am going to remember something or not..

Me too, sometimes I just try to say whatever is on my mind and try not to overthink it when I get confused by the conversation, and most times it seems like the right call. I think that it's not a memory issue but a recall issue the memory is somewhere in there but just a little too spaced out to remember it.
