I live in Ohio and see many others of you do.. would you guys like to meet in Akron somewhere? I think it would be good to be with people who are like me and we can all talk.. if interested let me know... let me know where in Ohio you all live and mostly for people not related to drug use... as that was not my cause and i cant relate to that.

Hi kit I live in Cincinnati but was up in Akron couple summers ago. Cool town, small but with the University and places we went it was "city-fied" JUST enough. I thought I saw another Cincinnati person post a long time ago, dunno what happened but I never saw it again. Anyway at least we know we are not alone in Ohio. Take it easy,

As I recall,several of the UK people have met up. I think they come up with the idea every now and then, but some people just can't get it together to meet. I think the people who have gotten together have just enjoyed meeting people they have talked to over the net as much as anything else.
There have also been people to meet up one on one. Of course we also have one marriage having occured thru meeting on this site, so I think sometimes it can be very, very good.

i'd like to go to a meeting for dpers but i live in utah and i'm pretty sure no one wants to come here for a meeting and i'm pretty sure i don't want to go anywhere too far away...
i think it would be really neat to talk face to face with other people with dp/dr. i do have one friend with dp but it doesn't bother him like most of us so it's different.

Hey Martin... wanna organize a U.S. meet for us all?? Us Americans just can't seem to get it together. Well at least I've never heard of a DP gathering around here actually going through. I was even gonna drive my agoraphobic ass all the way to New York, but that got canceled. Or maybe everyone's meeting and not telling me...

Wow, being face to face with a bunch of other DP folks. It'd be weird to see an unreal-looking person who sees me as unreal looking.
Akron, eh? Well, that WOULD justify an almost-cross country drive. Long drives across abandonned stretches of highway (Route 66, etc.) is one of my favorite hobbies. Trouble is, I end up going slightly slower than a Connestoga wagon. I'd be glad to have someone ride with me, but that pace would drive a lot of people nuts.
What time of year were you thinking of? I'll bet Akron is nice in October, when the leaves are turning, yet it's still a few degrees warmer than liquid nitrogen. Plus in October I could pop up to Ann Arbor for a Wolverines game.
