For the record of those many suffereres thinking that blank mind state has something to do with meditation. It has not. YES meditation quiets down your mind and your internal dialogue, but the thing is, once in a meditative state you can access your mind and thoughts and use them practically. With DP mind blankness, you can't access your thoughts, as if you try to force the thoughts, and it's at the same time so hard. Also your memory is impaired. Therefor don't confuse meditation with this kind of mind blankness.
