ok...

i was going to say this in the Benzo thread but wanted to 'say it out loud' if you like...

meds works for some...not for others....

and...

some types of meds work for some....again not for others...

some have taken (types of) meds and they have helped....others have taken (types of) meds and they have hindered...

do we not know this about meds anyway?

surely any discussion about meds should be to talk about experiences, thoughts and feelings....NOT to say who can/cannot take them?

i can understand if people have had a particularly awful experience and would not want anyone to go through the same...

i myself have had a life threatening experience with Venlafaxine...

but to say to people not to take it due to my experience...that might be stopping the person being helped by that med!

i knwo people who have been helped by Venlafaxine....some who have totally recovered using it! i might have stopped those people if i preached my experience and frightened them or worried them about it.

what i would want people to do is understand my experience and think more carefully about taking it....checking they have not allergies to the ingredients and so on...

just to be aware of the bad effects as well as the good...

but that should be thought about with every medication...

all meds should just be carefully considered and researched...

and asking people about what they have taken is part of understanding the successes AND failures of each med....

medication discussions are to share, discuss and realise all aspects to get a better picture of what the drug is like as a whole...

not to promote and say they will definately help or hinder as no one can make that diagnosis.

remember people...respect each others experiences...

but no one should be telling people to take or not to take...

that is for each of us to decide and experience...

we are all different!

i could not explain everything how i wanted to but that will do for now

thank you for reading :)

and take care....all you guys :D
