I tell you this as a depersonalization syndrome sufferer. I'm not a clinician nor am I a fan of echoing their latest fads.

It's important to think of functioning, happiness, and symptomology as three related but distinct areas. On functioning, some people have schizophrenic hallucinations but are able to have a social life and in some cases hold jobs. On happiness, some people can have horrific disorders like Alzheimers and are happy. Don't entirely forego functioning or happiness because you're experiencing symptoms. Do what you can and then congratulate yourself for small achievements because you're fighting an uphill battle most people know nothing about. This way, whether your symptoms go into total remission, partial remission, or stay the same you'll still be doing right and maybe enjoying life.

Perhaps if you could describe what happened when you took the edible? There obviously must be a horrifying experience for you to have DP 10 years later.

I had DP for several years after taking a hit from particularly powerful weed from a gravity bong. It was not 10 years though. This is distressing to me, I know how awful DP is.

I don't think it must necessarily be the case. A lot of people have DPDR as a result of a panic attack but not only. I developed dpdr as a result of smoking weed as a teenager and it started gradually, and I did not have any particularly bad trip then. My first kind of panic attack took place more than 15 years after the onset of my symptoms.

I'm sorry that you've been dealing with this for 10 years, but I'm glad that you're reaching out for help.

Have you tried using the best CBD for relief? CBD has been known to help with anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. It might be worth looking into and talking to a medical professional about.

Additionally, have you considered therapy or support groups? Sometimes talking to others who have gone through similar experiences can help alleviate some of the stress and confusion.
