Has anyone had this done?

Im wondering if it would make DP worse or improve it ?

I know my feelings on unreality are slightly improved when wearing contact lenses / not wearing my glasses.

For me, my dp feels like im looking at the world through a milk bottle bottom. My glasses add to this feeling.

That's impossible, having eye lazer surgery isn't going to affect your DP.

The only thing it's going to do is improve your eyes. I mean it may help a little with things looking flat/2D but I highly doubt it.

You don't sound too positive about that, why do you think eye surgery would worsen your DP?

I don't think that refractive surgery is a good idea. It's much more risky than many doctors will admit and most types of refractive surgery cannot be undone. Usually there is also no medical reason for it, because almost all people who would qualify for refractive surgery can be helped with glasses or contact lenses without problems. It also won't give better vision than contact lenses, but rather worse.

My hint: Don't do it.

In terms of refractive errors this is correct, but the price are frequently other visual abberations that can be very annoying.
