And i came home, they told me unless I'm going to kill my self or hurt others it will be 4 hrs before they can see me.

I just give up and don't know what i can do any more. I have been calling all kinds of psychiatrists and psychologist, all cant see me for weeks.

Im so bad right now i dont know what to do...

go to your regular doctor. tell him or her to refer a psychiatrist/phsycologist(sorry i cant spell) and you will get in almost immedietly because with a referal therapists/psychologists know its really important. good luck!

Two Benadryl will help you sleep. It's over-the-counter in the US and is recommended by docs for general sleep aid. It probably won't zonk you out, but it will definitely take the edge off.

The active ingredient you want is:

Diphenhydramine hydrochloride --- 25 mg each tablet

It's an antihistamine.

Do not take more than two tablets ever 6 hours because the body can't use it and you might as well throw it in the river.

I'm going to call my Dr and tell them i'm desperate. I need to get back on Buspar, that has helped me in the past.

Im not able to take benadryl because of my high blood pressure.

Even tho i don't want to because of addictive issues I'm going to ask for ativan, so i can have immediate relief.

My anxiety and panic is extreme. The DP/DR is also amazingly strong.

I have addictive tendencies, I'm an alcoholic and have had major issues with benzos in the past. In reality i cant do anything more then Buspar.

Contacting your DR and describing your situation is going to be your best route I think. I know this is frustrating, ER, wise, but don't let this deter you from getting the help you need.

Its great to see how you are conscious of your issues with benzos. That sh*t would be poison for you now.

If you have an addictive personality, and your doctor knows about it (which he/she should), then it's doubtful he'll give you a benzo - unless it's under strict supervision. And remember, you are more likely to become addicted to a short-acting one. And don't ask for a benzo, as they will almost certainly not give it to you if you do.

Does your alcoholism have anything to do with your current problems? Is it because of withdrawal or not related?

Either way - go see your doctor quickly.

One thing we have in Maryland , and i don't know if your state does, are several after hours urgent psychiatric care facilities that will see you the same day. Most insurances don't cover this , and when I went it cost me $250 for the evaluation and then $65 for Med checks...but it was easy to get in and see a Doctor, I ran into the same issue when trying to see a psychiatrist everyone was booked. So maybe look on internet for something in your state similar to what we have in Maryland.

I would just tell him, hey my anxiety is getting out of control, I am constantly in this anxious state of mind, I can't rest, I don't feel well mentally,or physically right now, I need a plan of recovery from this. If it involves Meds and Counciling, what ever it takes, I need your help Doctor.

Be honest, with them tell him every symptom you are having, Racing thoughts, DP/DR, Anxiety Depression, what ever you are going through tell him how desperate you feel. Honesty that you want and need his help to get through this.

Good Luck and let me know how you do today. Don't feel embarrassed you are doing the right thing in getting help with a problem. If you had cut your finger wide open you wouldn't be embarrassed asking for stitches. Look at it that way.. GO ! Get some help with a problem you are having ....

I think that going to the DR was a bad step. I need to see a psyc type Dr. They gave me Buspar and Lopressor. They said i have high blood pressure and issues with my heart.

They also told me I'm suffering with severe GAD and panic. They gave me a referral for psychiatry, but there is an 8 WEEK WAIT!!

They want me to take a stress test and have an echocardiogram. They told me my liver enzymes are elevated and i may have hepatitis!!!

THIS MADE MY LIFE WORSE! I give up. Let me disappear in to a dream state or go crazy. Why anything...

Not a bad step, it is one that is going to get you information. The hardest part is the waiting. I went through the same thing with my liver, it was just a med that was elevating the liver enzyme. If you have Hepatitis there are several types.. Take one step at a time and try to slow down. If you were in a life threatening situation you would be in the hospital right now.

Get your tests scheduled and taken as soon as possible. IT is good to know that your blood pressure needed to be checked. Once some of these issues are straightened out you will gain some confidence in the knowledge that you are doing everyting possible.

Did they mention what the heart issues might be? I know it is hard, I just went through all of these tests, Stress test, Liver stuff, Echo. the works.
I may yet have to do endoscopy to check out why I am having so much indigestion and belching etc..

But the gathering of this information is vital for you and your Doc to treat you. I would take the meds and that will also relax you. There is no shame in taking the meds , you need it to keep you calm while going through this ..

See if there isn't an emergency pyschiatric care facility in your state that would allow you to be seen sooner then 8 Weeks for a consultation. In the mean time get your test done Space.
