Hey...

Well the anxiety that causes my DP/DR, has been on a rampage. It all stems around these stupid pvc's.... heart palps.... Even today I went out to play golf with my son in law and got the palps going.. ..which then ends up anxiety which ends up dp/dr. Now I was told my doctors and the er doctors just to try and ignore them they can't hurt me.. I am trying to ignore them. but hard to do with the skipping beats.. Ok it can't harm me, but I always seem to let them get to me which puts me in the DP DR state ..... Is there nothing I can do?

hi,
I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks, but I dont think that is what my DP /DR stemmed from. Anyways, many many years Ive had panic and anxiety. I know many people tell you this, but you really need to realize that a racing heart from a panic attack WILL NOT KILL YOU. Once you believe that I think it will help. Try not to focus on your heart beating. It will drive you crazy. Sending (((HUGS))) hoping you feel better/.
I heard magnesium also helps, but too much can cause loose stool. Be careful!

Hey thanks for the help... I will try the magnesium and see... as far as racing heart it isn't that.. PVC is when you get an extra beat from the ventrical so it feels like your heart skips....

BUt thanks for all the support you all... It is more agrevating then a life threatening thing... Hopefully with your advice and some good relaxation, I will get over them too.

Thanks
KC

Sorry I realized after the post that it was not the rate of the heart it was the extra beat. I have a condition called mitro valve prolapse and it causes this problem. Caffene can cause problems such as you describe. Hope you feel well soon.

gem.
