Hello!

I am wondering a little something about the very-true "focus-outward" technique. While it is not good to focus on myself "in this moment," I can (and should) think about my actual problems and likely causes of anxiety and dp. I understand that.

But how do I know that the WAY I am thinking about my past events and problems is not making the dp worse, as I think that I think about things over and over again and it just gets spinny and raises my anxiety levels?! And my thinking about it does not really resolve anything. I guess that I really need some more advice on this.

These are questions you could ask a therapist or your doctor, lawstudent. You need to get advice from a competent professional.

Instead of thinking about your problems right now, perhaps the most important thing to think about is getting that professional advice.

Just a thought.

An angry anti-Janine member/mod(?) pushed Janine away. For what reason they hold a grudge I couldn't tell ya. This may get deleted but it's been bothering me to see her not come back to the board since she was ridiculed.

IMO, she was unjustly attacked. The person she assured it was okay to take the medicine was a person whose own doctor wrote a prescription, and she has always made it quite clear who she was.

I cannot believe that Janine will forever be gone; I think she just doesn't need such asininity at the moment. I recall that she had earlier mentioned she'd be away for a while, so her stopping by was, I thought, a nice surprise.

who " attacked" Janine?? What happened? I don't remember seeing this?

I mean personally I found it a bit strange she told me to email her, and I did, but she never replied & than she told me to PM her and I did, and she never responded to that either. But thats besides the point
