I'm new here and I've been going through this depersonalization for 2 years it's awful. Some days are better than others. The first time I had it I was like 13 years old and the second time I had it I was pregnant so quite naturally I thought it was a hormone thing but I'm 70 now and it's just interferes with normal life. I'm taking Prozac but I don't know if it's anxiety or something else. quite upsetting.

my short advice is 'dont stop going out' ...... the worst part of dp/anxiety for me were the panic attacks that follwed after years of having this on and off ..... now apart from accepting this condition i have created a zone full of avoidance due to panic attacks ... i visit neighbours and recently pushed my self to cycle to my dentist (i had no choice) but spontaneously going out is a thing of the past ..... take care
