(this question is specially to those who have recovered or been close to recovery)
probably the number 1 tip to follow in order to overcome dpdr is to just live life normally, but it seems that every time i do this, and completely forget about dpdpr, its like i'm on automatic mode. and then when i 'gain consciousness' or 'wake up' from that 'trance', i get dpdr again (or a very long jamais vu or something)

are this automatic feelings/moments normal? will they go away when i overcome dpdr?

When you have these moments, you can also guide yourself with good self-talk and suggestions. It might be something like, "there's nothing to worry about and nothing bad happens if I feel this way," or whatever is the most comforting self-talk for you.

Automatic reactions are just reactions we have learned and they can be overwritten with new instructions, it's just a matter of persistence and habit :)
