I know I've made a topic similiar to this one a while back but I thought I'd make this one more understanding 'cause the replys were off...Anyways, is having random vivid intrusive memories a common or definite symptom of DP or DR? They have nothing to do with trauma, emotions, and regret. (Just tryin' to figure out if they are coming from possible benzo w/d or from my DR)

I feel this.

But I try to bear in mind that the notions of past present and future are all mental constructs.

There is really only one, unbounded, eternal moment, that the brain compartmentalizes into past/present/future for computational purposes.

It's cold comfort, though.

Much of the time I feel almost like the protagonist from Slaughterhouse 5.

Listen: Billy Pilgrim has become unstuck in time :D

Seriously, though, I get intrusive memories a lot, too, but I always associated it with being obsessive-compulsive.
