sounds interesting in theory, however for me, my obssesive thoughts are never ending, i dont seem to have any freedom, not even 5 minutes from my thoughts. what i might try to do is break down the thoughts a bitt and have specific catergories for each thought eg. one for 'im not gonna get better' thoughts, one for 'suicidal thoughts' and so on.
