Yep, anytime you increase serotonin in an anxious person it usually makes things worse before it gets better. The way it was explained to me is that our receptors are very sensitive. A sudden burst of serotonin molecules aggravates the receptors even more and causes a worsening of anxiety. Once they have been exposed to the serotonin long enough there is a change in recepter sensitivity( down regulation) and things will start to improve. It can take several weeks for this process to occur so just hang on. The key is starting with a small dose and slowly working your way up over a period of several weeks.

i take celexa had no increased anxiety, maybe because i don't feel the anxiety or something. i seriously don't feel anything. i guess its making me depressed being like this, but i don't feel depressed. i don't know anymore.

How much do you take? For me it was like hell a few days ago, had those intense waves of panic and anxiety.

i take 20 mg at night. i do have some very vivid dreams, which i don't mind. they seem more real than my real life so i kind of like the dreams. there not like bad dreams.
