Does anyone feel in touch with reality but then it seems to disspear. It's happening to me a lot lately. One minute I feel as If im back and then I slip back into the dreamlike state again. It sort of feels like Im drifting between two different worlds.

Everybody needs a tether to reality, though. The human mind, without a tether to reality, swiftly descends into meaninglessness.

If you do not now have a tether, you must find one and make it your own.

This is how I am 24/7. Every minute, literally, I switch from dreaming to reality. The times when I am more in tuned with reality seem to be when I talk to people but only for short periods of time, otherwise I start to get dped. The times I am more "in tune" give me hope and endurance to get through the dped times.

I wouldn't know "reality" if i DID experience it anymore. I don't say that to be negative, but just can't remember what it feels like. What I DO get is moments where I just am...gone. Like when you're driving and suddenly realized you've gone some distance but you don't know how you got there. Then I have no idea how much time passed. Except I'm not driving, I'm just doing everyday things.

i know exactly what you mean.

Sometimes it feels like a muscle twitch inside my brain

Sometimes the entire world seems brighter (literally, my vision gets brighter)

Sometimes its just an internal feeling like im re-connected, along with relief

The only problem is, i cant control the in and out...

I think maybe it has something to do with you suddenly, whether you are conscious of it or not, flicking back to thinking about DR/DP....where is it, where is gone, I should be afriad....etc etc....and, hey presto, back it comes.

We need to learn to accept our DP.

And not while its happening, while we arent in DP.

I think while DP isnt happening and it suddenly comes on, before the point of no-feeling, we feel like "oh no not this again," and that feeling causes anxiety alone. Of course theres many other reasons for anxiety, but thats one of them, and learning to accept DP to our "true" selves is a good step to recovery.
