I don't know where this post is supposed to go but I'll put it here. What do you do with a hypochondriac parent? My dad is on so much medicine it's unreal. He's out of it half the time these days, in a zone because he's on so many meds. For mental and physcial illness. He won't listen to us when we tell him he's taking too much. He says, "I'm sick, what do you suggest I do?" But he's not sick. Out of 20 meds, I'd say he needs maybe two. I feel like I'm watching him kill himself. Which is a common theme in my life these days. It's just so hard to watch someone hurt themselves and there's nothing you can do about it. At all. Please no one tell me any horror stories. I just need some support and to hear someone understands. His doctors don't even care. They just listen to him complain and basically prescribe him whatever he wants. What should I do?

research everything hes on and find out which drugs hes taking that are actually essential for maintaining his health. Im not sure if its possible, but I would then have a long talk with his pusher er' I mean doctor.

The worst thing of it all is it's all his doctors. He'll see one doctor for the first time and they'll precribe him anything he wants. He changes doctors a lot because he just moved up here to our town and his insurance providers keep changing which doctors accept it. So it's not just one quack. It's all of them! Anyway, he got really sick yesterday and went to the hospital, he was dehydrated from the flu and now he's getting better so I'm not panicking too much anymore, but I was a wreck last night worrying about him. So all is well, I hope. For now. Thanks you guys for your repiles.
