Hi all. I haven't been on here much but I'm struggling with my symptoms at the moment. Occasionally my brain fog gets rather severe that it becomes somewhat disabling.

I am not sure what made it worse, or triggered it (I think it's the tiredness from travelling), but the fogginess in my head gets so bad I can't concentrate or think. All my personality and interests gets swallowed into darkness and I am just left with this lifeless form. I realised it is affecting my relationships and work.

I've been told by others I look lazy and rude, that I might as way just be asleep, that I have been ignoring them, I don't seem happy like usual, or that I must be tired, that I'm in my own world etc… I have been this way for almost two weeks now.

It really gets me down during these periods, despite feeling apathetic to my surroundings. I don't want to be this way, and I'm worried I won't be able to hold down a job if it carries on or gets worse. I usually just wait till it pass away… but yeah just feeling rather crap and zoned out now :(

Don't worry I've had this too and it passes. Make sure you don't stress or dwell on the day when you are at home. Try to immerse yourself in some activity and try to socialise as much as possible.

Same here, even when i recovered from dp/dr i had brain fog coming back every time i do something wrong. There are definitely triggers, and you should know what are those for you. Traveling is definitely something that can completely drain you both ways, and it was one of reasons i believe helped develop my dp/dr (since im "allergic" to traveling and i had to travel alot too). Only thing that worked for my brain fog is very intense exercise, like weight lifting, cycling for 4-5 hours, martial arts for hours etc. Try it it might wake your brain in just few days. Also excessive masturbation and pornography is toxic for brain and also causes brain fog, since it fck up hormones and brain chemistry badly so everyone with mental problems should avoid it
