Those are 2 of the 1 million dollar DP questions...

My advice...Find a doctor, therapist or psychiatrist who actually knows what DP is...Then surround yourself with understanding, caring, loving people who actually listen to you when you tell them you feel ill...

There are too many doctors, shrinks, therapists, friends, family etc etc who will try to fob you off and tell you its all in your mind or that you are just a little depressed or that you just need a cup of tea and a nap...These are what I call the pull your socks up brigade and need to be given a wide berth...

Right now what you need more than anything is proper support and most of all understanding and patience from people who actually care about you....You must reduce ALL levels of stress in your life for the time being too until you improve....Stress is DPs best friend...

The pull your socks up brigade do more damage than good...Its narrow mindedness and ignorance to mental ill health as a whole and needs to be avoided at all cost..

Your gonna be ok in time Elena12345...Just hang on in there...Most if not all of us improve and recover...Its just trial and error as to waht works best for you as an individual....Everybody is different and as a result everybody gets better in their own time and in their own ways...There are no set rules for recovery from this condition...But recovery does and will happen for you...
