to post a picture you go to http://www.imageshack.us you upload your pictures from your computer and you copy paste the link that says "forums"
to get an icon or avatar whatever you want to call it, you find a picture that meets the standards of the forum , lets say it has to be 100 by 100 pixels so you get a picture and minimize to 100 by 100 pixels you go to your profile and go down to "upload avatar from computer"
