Hi All,

I am sure many of you have seen I've been positing much more than usual. What the worst your symptoms have gotten? Currently I can't stop obsessing about how fast time is passing and thus far I have covered all the clocks up. I don't feel like I can think straight, my mind is empty and I am even having a tough time writing this. Also my body feels much more numb than usual and my memory has been getting worse. This is probably my 9th Dp/dr relapse in 15 years and don't know what I should do.

Thanks,

Zach

I would say the worst dp symptom I've gotten is feeling so uncomfortable in my own body that I feel weird showering, touching my face while getting ready, changing, even touching my arm or leg. It's like being in a strangers body so I feel like I'm "intruding" someones privacy, which is obviously weird because it's literally my own body.
As for the dr part of it, I'd say that everyone else looking like an illusion is really scary. It's one thing having a room look weird, but when an actual human with thoughts and opinions seems unreal I freak out. Like when my parents look like strangers, or when I feel as if they might not even be there. Or when I walk around in the store and my brain convince me that everyone around me are just hallucinations. That really sparks my social anxiety because deep down I know they're there, and the world feels real to them, so me acting weird would make me appear strange to everyone else. Those would probably be my worst symptoms.

My dp is a function of major depression which is a whole other level of suffering. It can devolve into a vegetative state.

I remember being afraid of water. The thought of taking a shower was suffocatingly repulsive. My hygiene deteriorated.

This sensation is not uncommon in people who are suffering from acute and chronic alcoholism. I remember not being able to read or listen to the radio. Processing

information was just too taxing on my mental faculties. I experienced racing thoughts prior to a complete meltdown.

IT was like an involuntary word/thought association game which accelerated until it reached the speed of light at which time...."Poof!"

The train of thought would disappear and you would not be able to remember any of it. Then a new game would begin. I have experienced most of the

unique and odd symptoms of serious major depression. I've literally been to hell and back.on more than one occasion..

The worst my dpdr affected me was a couple of months ago. Time was moving very fast for me, 24 hours felt so short and i'd frequently stay up all night, no problem. I ended up losing complete track of time and stayed awake for 3 days whilst doing school assignments. During this time I was isolated, I didnt eat or drink, didnt even use the bathroom. The dpdr mixed with no sleeping or eating and a ton of stress caused me to become the most disconnected from reality I had ever been. On the 3rd day I started hallucinating; seeing things, hearing voices and music. I was basically dreaming with my eyes open. I would fully believe I was washing dishes, brushing my teeth, or sleeping and then all of a sudden snap out of it and I'd be sitting down staring at a notebook. It was scary. It wasn't solely from dpdr, but it did play a big part.

If I do not have dpdr .. what is this .. cause I feel disconnect and unreal bro
I'm pretty sure it can still be dpdr. I have so so much fatigue, and I think it's normal when you deal with this considering how overwhelming it can be. When I google it anyways it says it's a very common symptom associated with anxiety, panic disorder, stress, depression and other mental disorders. Especially dpdr which technically is the body's defence mechanism, the mind and body is in constant state of high alertness and tension.
