does anyone else have problems doing housework? i have difficulties in keeping on top of my housework in two ways:

1) when i feel disconnected i just feel so ill and dizzy that i struggle physically to do lots of housework

2) i just dont see the point. what is the point of ironing when its only going to get creased the second you wear it? i just can't seem to see the point in spending a few hours a day trying to make my home the best it can be. i do feel better when it is nice and tidy, but i just think im going to die anyway so whats the point?

thoughts anyone? hope ur all ok...cx

i was a very messy child. but when i moved in with my fiance i like to try to keep it nice and tidy and clean. living in a mess really makes me feel even more miserable. but tidying up every day makes me miserable too! aaah! still, at least i manage to keep some sort of level or organisation even if i resent actively doing it lol... :0) (one task i have to do every ten minutes....my puppy cadbury has taken to sitting on the throw i have on the back of one of my sofas, but he's up one minute and sleeping the next so i have to put the throw back in place about a hundred times a day lol) :)

Hi Cesart,

The first episode I had with this, anything that involved me getting off the couch crying was an inconvenience. It would take me all day to do the laundry. So I do know where you are coming from.

Like Mole said, it is the very best thing to just force yourself to do it. Keep on living. It will come back around for you. The point is you do feel better when it is nice and tidy. Looking at the mess makes you feel worthless and that makes you feel worse.

Now that I've posted that I'm going back to bed myself.

Take care,
terri

well its good to know that someone else took all day to do the laundry! my problem is that i cant keep up with it..ie. ill decide to put some washing on. then i forget about it. result = it goes smelly. then i have to re-wash it. then i do actually put it in the tumble drier/on the airer, but i turn it off when i have to go out mid-cycle and then i forget about it. result = goes smelly again. result = have to wash it again. result = feel really stupid cos i cant even get my washing done. so annoying that little jobs are so difficult!

im so jealous ur going back to bed lol... cx

i have a hard time doing housework but it's not because of my dr...i just hate cleaning. my house is usually a complete pig sty! lately, though, i have found that doing housework can actually help my dr. i can just get into the "cleaning zone" and not think about anything at all.

Hey gang,

You know, "they" do say: "Cleanlieness is next to Godlieness" hmm...but then again, I haven't been to church reicently either. What to do, what to do?

I have problems doing housework but I think I'm just lazy. I still haven't done my laundry... I've been meaning to do it since saturday. I actually went out and bought two new shirts cuz I ran out of clean ones. Sad I know.

When I had my own apartment it was a complete mess. It was nice coming back to my mom and a clean house. She is constantly on my ass about doing the dishes and cleaning everything. I don't know how I'm going to manage when I move out again.
