I don't want to use drugs for my anxiety and Depersonalization. I'd like to get off the benzodiazepines I've been taking for years. There are new forms

of treatment out there. One is mindful meditation. It helps anxiety, insomnia, and depression. The rumination we do to cause anxiety is helped by this and it also leads to the rumination. It keeps you in the present moment so you stop asking why what, and how. Depersonalization in most cases is caused by worry and severe anxiety. I also recommend Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. When we stop running away from anxiety it chases us less. Accepting that it's here and doing deep breathing helps it subside. Drugs and chemicals don't get rid of anything but changing your thought patterns does.
