I once had a dream which was a sleep paralysis experience which felt like I was being abducted by aliens , very scary experience couldn't move , felt this being next to me and had a distinct feeling of being expereimented on, it only lasted about 40 seconds but was a scary expereince.

Ian Curtis is mad.

You'd get COMMITTED for less. I always WANTED to be a "singer"... Get away with murder... actors, singers, artists... act SOOO crazzii and "get away with it"... brilliant.

fallingfree that is similar to what I've experienced

But the space aliens I "saw" in the sleep paralysis dreams were tall and blond like angels... and no experiments though.

I guess whatever people see in sleep paralysis experiences are just figmetns of there mind or a part of their pysche as sleep paralysis is defined as being asleep and then somehow freezing waking up from the sleep but kind of still being asleep, at no point did i actually believe that there was another being in my room with me,

though I can remember reading in a new scientest article about drug use there was a colulm explaining theries about how drugs being a window that reveals things about the mind that normal eperience doesn't experience, and it mentioned tthat perhaps beyond are normal spere of coucisouness are other couciosness that are minds filter out or are sepearted from us by some kind of mental barrier or something along those lines, and maybe a sleep paralysis experience is just one of these filters being removed so we see an alien being or angelic being or something which are brains arn't filtering out like usual due to our minds being in a sleep like state and then waking up suddenly.

Crap, I wish I read this post earlier. I had a very similar experience with sleep paralysis. I don't get it very often, and all but this one time I did not "hallucinate".

This was a few weeks or so after I watched the movie Jacob's Ladder for the first time. In the middle of the night, my mind awakens yet my body is paralyzed (sleep paralysis, der). I look around my room...and to my surprise, one of the demons from Jacob's Ladder has decided to pay me a visit. If any of you have seen this movie, then you know how insanely creepy those convulsing demons are.

As usual, I have two option: 1) to try and go back to sleep or 2) try and animate my physical body and fully wake up out of this nightmare. I figure I could scare myself awake, but that didn't work so I spent about a full minute with a friendly demon from hell in my room and no ability to move.

I've also had some fucked experiences with lucid dreaming. Its not always just flying around and having sex......i've seen the dark side.

isn't it odd though how so many people have the same hallucination about space aliens? and not just loons like us; this was the thesis of Mack's book. He believed there was validity to people's "experiences" since so many otherwise normal people experienced them.

I do believe that what we're calling space aliens were once upon a time called demons or angels... whether they actually exist or not.

Im open to the belief that aliens do exsit and can enter wherever intentioneely or not are minds when we are not in a waking state, much as like you can dream about riding a horse or seeing a dog or another human being

another possible explanation for people seeong the same aliens or having the same expriences is that they are a manifestions of human mental anxieties that are shared somehow the the uncocious of humans, sort of like how you can imagine a monster from a film such as the candyman or zombies from dawn of dead, well people could have seen these films could relate something that is going on with there life at the current moment that is causing them anxiety manifest itself as a monster from one of these film so that the mind can play out an anxiety in the dream world instead of having more anxiety created in the waking world, kind of like putting an imaginery face to a n anxiety that is idemtified by the mind as scary or sinister etc etc.
