Does anyone else feel, with DP/DR, like they are living in a constant drunken haze? That's a lot like whole i think about things, memory wise, like I was drunk the whole time, even when I was sober. It makes me want to be an alcoholic, because at least then, i'm feeling good when the memories are fuzzy. Ugh.

i used similiar ways of explaining my dp/dr to other people. i told them it was like the weird transition from being high on pot to being sober...the coming down part, where you feel like crap but youre still better than sober. wish i could say the drugs or in your case alcohol would make it better because it offers a cause to your feeling this way, but all it does is prolong the lifespan of ones dp/dr symptoms. unfortunately, it a different form of denial.

Peaceboy,

Yes - it's a very drunk feeling; very sedation-like. I think that is very intentional, though: something our bodies are doing to us to get us through stress and so forth.
