Hey,

Do grounding techniques actually work for any of you? People recommend them all the time, but they do nothing for me. I always feel think "Even if I can see this, feel this, smell this, it doesn't prove that it's real"

Anyone else have the same problem?

Yes they work sometimes but depends how bad your DR is, but any kind of exercise that puts you in the present (mindfulness) helps a little.

One thing I found to work when my DP was really bad was closing one eye or puttting my hand over one eye for some reason it made the dream like feeling less.

Another thiing that helped loads was L-theanine really heped to calm my anxiety wich inturn reduced my DR

LOL i do the eye thing too, also i put pressure on my eyeball with my palm. Its like a massage and a physical reminder of my exustence
