yep. finally got what i need for ADD. doc perscribed me Adderall which is an ADD med. all it says on the bottle is amphetimine salts. i knew they perscribe stimulants for ADD. didnt know it was Meth though. well no biggy. at least ill be able to focus and maybe lose wieght in the process. thats always a plus. shes looking into getting me some straterra.. but she has to get special approval cause my insurance doesnt cover it. whats funny is that i had to sign a whole bunch of papers to get the adderall cause meth is a controlled substance. it felt like more of a crack house than a drugstore pharmacy. i actually feel naughty for having it! i took one about 2 hours ago but i dont feel anything. well see how it goes.

My boyfriend keeps trying to get me to take adderall. I have problems concentrating... I keep starting books and not finishing them. And I want to lose weight. He says it will help with both, but I've been scared to try it. I'm scared it'll make my DP or anxiety worse. Please let me know how it goes for you.

I take Adderall regularly (not the extended release kind, but 1/4 sections of the 10 mg pill three or four times a day...TINY dose), and I have found it tremendously helpful. It does have its downsides, and it doesn't always work, but it helps me A LOT.

My actual prescribed dose is 30 mg a day but I take about 12.5 mg a day total.

Everyone is different peacedove, if you have ADD related symptoms Adderall could help you.

One more thing:

GD IT IN HELL, ADDERALL IS NOT METH! It is amphetamine/dextroamphetamine. Methamphetamines are MUCH MUCH stronger; they keep you up for days, have a far more powerful effect, etc. MUCH MUCH HUGE HUGE difference. You're not getting the good stuff lol :p But you're getting something that may help you.

How many mgs are you on SB? and is it extended release? b/c most of the people I know like the non-extended release kind better.

I personally refuse to take extended release b/c I need adderall for some times of teh day (school, work) more than other times (drinking myself into oblivion er um I mean studying and talking about mathematics for fun)

Also SB give adderall a good run before strattera, b/c from what I hear you have to be much more structured with strattera to get the right "target dose" whereas I've never really had a problem taking different doses of adderall.

well addiction kinda goes hand in hands with all meds.. thus the zappy, itchy, brain imploding withdrawl symptoms.

im currently on 5mgs of adderall. kinda felt weird for a bit.. almost like the start of a panic.. little dizzy and nausiated.. but it may be something i ate.. other than that no change.

as for it not being METH. well thanks for clearing that up p3. the reason i associated with that in the first place is cause it says amphetimine salts instead of adderall on the pill case... and mostly because they put me through the third degree just to get the 10 meezly little tablets. it kinda seemed like it was a bad thing. my mom was all bent out of shape when i showed it to her.. she was sure that it was hardcore drugs thats going to fry my brain. i used to share her sentiments about all meds but im giving it a try especially since ive been so depressed and that night when i tried to 'off' myself. i know now how serious my illness is.

Damn.... what dose were you on SoulBrotha? I really want to try this but I'm scared I'll freak out and have a panic attack. Maybe if I start to I could take some xanax? Or would that kinda be counterproductive and pointless...

I certainly wouldn't take Adderall to lose weight or because I can't finish a book. I saw a special on MTV about it the other day and from what they said it can be highly addictive. If you really seriously are having a hard time concentrating, taking tests, etc, talk to a doctor. Not your boyfriend who says it helps you lose weight and concentrate better. No one can concentrate very well. It just depends on how bad you are. I never finish books I start.
