I'm at a vulnerable point right now. I was just operated on Monday and was put under GA. Now I was doing fucking great, I was finally recovering from this DP/DR thing but I feel as though the GA made things worse right after surgery.

I asked around and doctors told me that Anesthesia could stay in your system up to three days.

Is it possible that the Anesthesia made my DP worse? If so, how long you guys think it will stay elevated?

I had gallbladder removal surgery at the beginning of this year with general anesthesia and it didn't affect my dp/dr at all. Didn't make it better or worse. It wore off right away once I woke up from it. I think you will be okay :)

I am experiencing the same issue. I had dpdr years ago and was mostly recovered, although probably not 100 percent but it was not something I was concerned with anymore. Original cause was from ecstasy maybe 10 years ago. I had surgery under general anaesthesia 3.5 months ago and it has come back severely in addition to dizziness when tilting or moving my head. I am in need of some advice from anyone on the forums.

Strange thing is I have had several surgeries under general anaesthesia prior to my last surgery due to a health condition that requires frequent surgery. Nothing happened in the prior surgeries, it was only this surgery I just had that triggered this.
