I was wondering if anyone had a good list of nutrients to make it easier on the old brain. I know there are natural ways to get a healthy regulation of seretonin. Also some no-no's would be nice. I'm sure this topic should benefit the whole DP/DR community. I know there has been similar topics but we need a solid one strictly for this topic.

O.k., I'll start.

I know B vitamins are a good choice. The way I get my B vitamins are in a pill form. B12 is really good for the central nervous system.

Also, if anyone knows FOODS that contain good nutrients, please add. This has been a struggle for me.

Brazil nuts. I remember they did research on it with people who have depression. They got them to eat 5 a day and measured levels of depression and seratonin. They had control group as well. It was a while ago and i know results showed that those who ate 5 brazil nuts a day improved there depression or seritonin? Don't remember where i saw it thou. I tryed it but i am intolerant to alot of foods so couldnt eat them everyday. Also i think white bread bad. Bad for me anyway. My most severe dp episode occured when i was working at a bakery and was eating heaps of white bread. I discovered that when i took myself off white bread i didn't get the dizziness and surge attacks-feeling like someone had put electrical current through my body. I think finding out what works and doesnt work for your body is important. We are all different so it will be different things for different people.. I kept a food and mood diary and learn't alot. Even worked out i was highly allergic to chocolate! Makes life alot easier if you know how to be at your healthiest body wise.
