Today when asked who my favorite teacher was, it took me like 2 full minutes to REMEMBER any of my teachers or classes.

Its so fucking scary.

For those of you with memory loss: does it ever get better?

Living like I'm coming out of amnesia every other minute is not enjoyable. Nope, not quite at all.

not for me... it's only gotten worse sorry to say. but, as a side note, some meds can make your memory worse.

Yeah, it's been getting increasingly bad for about a year now...

Hi. I used to have scarey memory loss too. Mine has gone for the most part. It does flare up everynow and again but its usually managable.

Yeah well... my memory is genneraly mess too, escpecialy short term,and long hmmm i can recal pretty much everything from my REAL life i renember my every teachers all the important events etc. exept for me back then its kinda like watching a slide show or reading some elses diary i know that those things happend to me but its just seems so unreralistic :?

Yep, same here arczi. I remember most everything from my REAL life (if you mean before the dp).
I don't think about it much though. As much as possible, but that's not much :?

Don't quote me on this one but I recall hearing about a study on Paxil and how it can negatively effect memory. You may want to do a little research on this topic. It's something I haven't really looked into. Let us know if you come up with anything.

As you have probably seen from my recent rants, I also have a problem with my short & long term memory.

A question like that what have tied a knot in my brain. :|

When I first had big anxiety attacks, I had a lot of memory problems, accessing, it wasn't that I lost my memories, but it took longer to cue to them because the anxiety, DP/DR you tend to obsess and run thoughts over and over , and worry, so your mind is so busy it takes longer to recall and sometimes it is hard to find the answer in your mind you are looking for... Relax and take some deep breaths and refocus It usually comes back to you.
