Sometimes I feel like I forgot how to breathe or am going to forget how. It really scares me. I also feel like sometimes I'm not breathing enough or deeply enough. Does anyone else have anything like this?
I have it during periods of extreme anxiety or during panic attacks. Its a fairly common symptom. There's no reason you should believe that you will ever forget how to breath. Its a matter of acknowledging that you ARE breathing and trying to take your mind off of the concious monitoring of your respiration.
That's so weird that you post that. I was just concentrating on my breathing and the site popped up and there your post was. By the way, YES, I have this all the time. I always breathe shallow. I think it's another problem connected with my dp/dr and anxiety.
i have this all the time. i complain i'm not breathing cuz i seriously feel like i'm not. its bad. you know how like your body goes up when you breathe like you can feel it, i don't and it bothers me so i focus on my breathing a lot. i know its natural, but idk.
