Do you guys know there is an DP organization in holland?
you can join it, they have there own journey towards recovery from DP.
it's called "stichting depersonalisatie"

for 20 euros a year you get access to forums and other information about DP/DR. I think it's a good thing that holland (being a small country) has such a thing. I'm not gonna join it though, if you don't pay they don't give you any info :? . So Dpselfhelp is stil it for me

That''s exactly how think of it, on their website, they don't give you much hope that you will ever recover from this illness. this forum is full of nice and good people and there is a real positive atmosphere here

I heb niets om aam deze bespreking toe te voegen. Ik leer het Nederlands, en enkel gewild opscheppen.
Het is een prettaal. Heel erg zoals het Duits - maar niet.

OK, free translation - sorry bad English warning, I'm not good at translating things: One might compare it to how Finnish words look like for a person, who doesn't understand a word of Finnish. In other words one does understand nothing about the text and the only difference between Dutch and Finnish is the fact that the words are structured in a bit different way. In Finnish language the consonants and the vowels take their turns differently than in Dutch, so I believe that anyone who doesn't understand a word of Dutch or Finnish do notice that I'm writing here in some other language than what was expressed in the other posts of this thread.

Finnish rulez. I wanna see somebody try it here too, someone else than Johanna... :wink:

Ik denk ik met het Deutsch, het French en het Spanish zel verdergaan.
Ik ken iedereen niet om het Nederlands met uit te oefenen.
Hoewel he als een gelukkige taal schijnt.

deze is gratis; ook hier moet je je aanmelden en je verhaal vertellen, maar klonk een stuk gastvrijer bij contact.

Niet dat mij die 20 euro veel kan schelen, maar ik heb gemaild en ik kreeg een spervuur van vragen terug van de oprichter (ben zijn naam kwijt). Ik moest me verantwoorden waarom ik bij de stichting wilde, en wie ik was met naam en toenaam etc. Daarnaast vind ik een stichting te zwaar aangezet; dan ga je van alles doen om maar subsidies te krijgen. De leden die blijven zijn niet beter - mensen als Janine gaan echt geen geld betalen om te vertellen hoe ze beter zijn geworden!

Daar had ik dus geen zin in. Als ik besluit om mijn echte naam etc. te geven dan doe ik dat aan de personen aan wie ik het wil, en ik heb echt geen zin om een hele biografie te schrijven en bij die stichting te plempen. En de inleiding is sowieso niet echt bemoedigend - antwoorden van mensen die successen hebben geboekt, daar wachten mensen op - en niet invloed uitoefenen op de wetenschap.

Wellicht dat het veranderd is.

Wat ik hier fijn is dat je gewoon mee kan doen - zonder ingewikkelde fratsen. Dat je anoniem KAN blijven, en dat je toch kan posten. Toppie! Jammer alleen dat veel mensen hier die beter worden meteen verdwijnen van het forum - dat is de keerzijde.

En nee Wendy, nooit op een meeting geweest. Ben geen lid he?

By the way - Revelation thnx for the offer but I think the true strength of DPSelfhelp is its international character - by this more people are reached, and people can learn and help others no matter who they are or where they are from. DP/DR is an international illness - and this illness doesn't stop at national borders.

So for me - I'll stick to this forum!

Ok Des, lijkt me duidelijk. Stichting depersonalisatie is precies wat ik er van had verwacht dus. Ik miste inderdaad de 'hoopgevende factor' op de site. Ze hopen bij de wetenschap een belletje te laten doen rinkelen, niet iets waar ik op zit te wachten of behoefte aan zou hebben inderdaad. Het is alsof de stichting niet eens weet dat er mensen zijn die van depersonalisatie zijn genezen, mensen waarvan als ik het me goed herrinner, jij er een van bent?
Alhoewel ik moet zeggen dat ik stiekem best wel beniewd bent wat er op dat forum van hun te lezen valt...

Kortom, ik blijf toch lekker op dpselfhelp!
