While most people have the complaint of having their most severe DP/DR in fluorescent lighting, I don't really see much difference in mine. I really don't get bothered too much by this. What's up with that?

flourscent lights are horrible for me. my eyes kill and i pray for school to be over. as my dp has be getting better so has my sensitivity so it is definately related to dp/dr/anxiety, but i have no idea why...

The only time I can say they really bother me is when I am playing in the outfield at one of our night games for baseball. The lights shine down on the field so brightly it's like I'm in a whole other dimension. Sometimes makes catching a fly ball pretty tough...

BUT, still isn't bothersome enough. I can usually snap out of it after a few minutes of distraction. (The game that is.)

Maybe I am just lucky and should feel grateful about this, or that my DP/DR is just at such a low level that this symptom isn't very noticeable. Hmmm.....

They dont bother me either, but you watch and see now that I said that, they will start bothering me. and you will start thinking that maybe something is wrong with you because they DONT bother you.
Anxiety is truely a MONSTER. Let's not worry that they don't bother us, and be happy that it is one symptom we don't have to deal with.

da'burgh, if they DO NOT bother you, then i'd shout a big ole YAH OOO for that. :D they seem to bother most on here and i don't think you need to worry about it if they don't bother you. i'd definately say that you should feel lucky and grateful about it since for those of us who are bothered by it, it is just awful working in places with f lights or going to school.

Interesting tough here... My DP/DR is worse when i am exposed to fluorescent lighting... I wonder what a cerebral regional blood flow analysis would show on this maybe it could give us a hint of the part of the brain that trigger DP/DR.

If we find the cause we find the solution.

Fluros don't bother me at all. If I get the feelings of unreality it does not mater where I am - summer sunshine, winter overcast, inside or out. I must add that my sister once said to me in a shopping centre that the lights make her eyes go funny and everything looks strange and she has no DP/DR. Sorry, can't relate.
