Just a quick one.

I recently did 4 weeks of no fizzy drinks / artificial drinks other than fresh juice or water. My anxiety has definitely got noticeably better.

Has anyone else ever found this ? Im going to continue this year which will be hard as I'm a diet coke fiend.

It was a huge vice for me as well. I can't think of anything better than a tall glass of coke with ice.

I started feeling different after about 2/3 weeks. I definitely went through some sort of weird withdrawal after a few days of no fizzy drinks - e.g. my eyelid started twitching for about a week / headaches / lethargy - similar to caffeine withdrawal.

Im wondering if any of the artificial flavours / additives could make our symptoms worse.

Give it a try !

I'll actually start trying it tomorrow.

Any tips for getting over the urge to drink? I find that after about a day, I talk myself into buying a diet Pepsi.

Yep

Sparkling Water has been a lifesaver.

I would fill half the glass with some fresh OJ/Apple and the other half with sparkling water - that gave me a guilt free fizzy drink fix
