Does anyone else feel trapped in first person. It's scary. I woke up this morning and before I even opened my eyes i didn't think I'd be seeing the world this way. If anyone else gets this, what are your coping techniques?

Yes that's basically how I feel with DPD (which I think most if not all do) and it sucks. What I've been doing is taking time to smell the roses. Seriously, find something and just look at it. Look at the shape, notice how its real, the colors, and any way it might relate to your past. I randomly did it with a Wendy's sign (no idea why lol) and I felt this change of emotion and my heart raced and I felt real again for that moment! Just take time to notice things around you.

This was one of my biggest problems with DP. I learned how to cope with it by not bringing it to my awareness.
