·When I started having panic attacks again after 6 years, I told my family doctor, she just kinda looked at me and changed the subject, I couldn't believe it! There I was crying and she wanted to talk about allergies being the cause of my problems! . I saw a different psych doctor about 6 years ago and he was very cold , arrogant and impersonal, just wanted to drug me and get me out of the office. I went to see a new psychiatrist last Tuesday, he turned out to be great! I had a dp and panic attack on the way there and burst into tears the second he called me into his office. He really understood dp and my panic symptoms. We decided TOGETHER what meds I would take and how often. He was funny and reassuring. He said "We will work together until you feel better". I am sharing my experience because I know alot of people give up on doctors, there are still some caring ones out there. I am feeling a little better already.
