I have been really trying to get better and lately have tried a few things

(Had DR since about 16 and I'm 32 now)

1. High dose Niacin followed by Sauna

2. AIP diet

3. Probiotics

anyway... Im feeling different.

My vision has more depth and things seem more real (definitely first thing in the morning) but DR slowly gets worse as the day goes on and I get more tired (driving home after work makes it significantly worse).

Its like my brain has all this new information to process and its exhausting me.

Has anyone been in the same situation where they feel more real but it'l like their brain is working super hard to process the new sense of reality?

I feel the same too... I changed diet & lifestyle significantly. DP is pretty much not there but DR is quite strong at times. If you feel worst between 4 & 6 or 5 & 7 pm compared to the whole day, this is just due to cortisol rythms & cortisol dropping very low during that time.

Niacin; I read about it being used as heavy metal detox online so tried it. I remember feeling the most clearheaded I have been since I could remember after about 2 weeks of doing this daily.

AIP diet; I used because I wanted to know if this feeling might be a low level food allergy

Probiotics; use these as immune boosters

2. Why & how exactly did it help you?

Sleep better / had more energy / acne slowed / felt more real / lower anxiety

3. What dose, which kinds and what benefits?

Dose of Niacin was built up to 500mg a day (started at 100mg a day) (go slow and look into niacin flush before trying this)

Probiotic - i take a 50 billion CFU

I really recommend trying the AIP diet - its definitely doing something to help
