Anyone else thinking or used to think on the same lines?

Fear of dying(apprehending the actual moment of death as lucidly as if it were here and now)
Fear of Damnation
Existential angst in general
Fear of Infinity and the universe

Psychyatrists may disect reasons for obsessing on these issues.Freudians will look to life experiences
Cognatives wont look beyond the moment and focus on disrupting the train of thought
Religious and spiritual exponents will call to repent etc etc
I could go on.

But if we remember one single thing irrespective of what we believe;that fear of all existential issues is utterly, utterly useless and counter productive, and that entertaining the issues and dwelling on them is fueling needless and massive fear.if we realize this and promise ourselves not to give a flying fcuk about them,we are on our way home.

Absolutely. Excessive worrying about existential fears is the ultimate exercise in futility, and a total waste of time. And yet most of us here spend at least 90% of our mental energy obsessing about it. What a waste. When you learn, or get bored, or find some other way of stopping it, you really do realise what a gargantuan waste of time it was.

You are a very interesting person Widescreened. You spell like a five year old if you don't mind me saying so  , but what you write is extremely absorbing.

And then..when some bad shit happens you realize how much of an idiot you were for ever thinking you were ok, or could simply put a box on a can of worms that will never be totally closed. So stop thinking about existence, the next time you go through some severe mental or physical trauma, or are simply going through a bad time in life, all those thoughts willl come rushing back. The moments of peace will seem fleeting and weightless. Only terror holds water.

Thats true 2 a certain extent scattered, but happy moments are just that;moments.Life isnt a pepsi add where everyone is constantly snowboarding, has perfect teeth and gets laid with the blonde after the commercial is shot.Life is being absorbed in something, being productive, loosing yourself in work or a hobby, meeting friends, finding meaning in life this way rather than trying to squeeze it out of it.If the pepsi add is your xy line of what life is about, then you will be boxing worms for the rest of your life.if you try to live and let live and disrupt the 'angst' from unrealistic expectations, you may surprize yourself.
