recently i have been getting really intense waves of dr and dr...

my body just surges with what i can only describe as intense negative anxiety energy?!?!

but it comes out of no where and now my body just looks flat against the rest of the world i see...

just that extreme floating pair of eyes feeling...

i am starting to really loose hope...

i have no idea what is going on but my dp and dr has just gone into overload over the last few days...

every morning i am choking from anxiety and fear...but it is the dp and dr causng that fear...

so sorry to post something similar to my last post but anyone else get these huge surges of dp/dr?

and know a good way of dealing with them?

thank you for reading :)

Yes I get those surges, they are horrible.

It can happen in the middle of the day, and all of a sudden you're just "there", just thought, like where you are now no longer relates to the rest of the day, week or time whatsoever - very scary indeed.

The dp/dr - fear -dp/dr cycle is very hard to break. My best advice to you is just to "ride it out". You know it's just a feeling, and it will pass however weird it may be. Accept this, and try to carry on. It will never go away in an instant, but it will eventually.

The worstthing to do (and I know I'm a hypocrite because this what I do everytime lol) is to think "oh my God - it's back again...I'm gonna be debilitated for the next few days, I can't go out, I can't work etc. etc. etc."

That kind of thinking becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Try as hard as you can to carry on when these surges of dp/dr. And try never to lose hope.

Thats actually how it started for me. About 3-4 years ago I began to feel what was a new feeling to me, it usually lasted for only about 1-2 seconds but was very intense, felt like I was shifting in time.

I think it would be a pretty acurate description to use an old saying - *It felt like someone just steped on my grave*.

I ignored those episodes since they happened very rare, putting them away as a stress or anxiety.

Do you actually wake up with this everyday?

How have you been sleeping recently?

I ask because for me my dp/dr is always the most intense on days that I didn't get sufficient sleep the night before.
