Does everyone who has DP/DR have existential thoughts? The thoughts about what is life, how we got here, why are we here, the universe in general, death etc?... for whatever reason in DP/DR those thoughts make DP/DR worse. It make you feel more unreal. Like nothing makes sense. Kind of as if you are experiencing life for the first time. It makes depression way worse and always keeps a anxiousness there. Where before dp/dr those thoughts didn’t have that effect. Anyone else relate to this?

Hey Speedy. I won't share my worst ones as I don't want people to internalise them but yeah, every day is ruined by it.

There is something about the mentality of dpdr that puts you in a mentally weak place. I remember having similar thoughts when I was well and they didn't bother me at all, now they are all agonising.

I agree I think pretty much all my thoughts use to be normal and didn’t bother me but there’s an emotion that I get in my stomach when I think on them and it makes me feel even more u real. Or everything else is unreal.
