I’m just curious as to how many of you guys exercise regularly and what it does for you. Up until recently I’ve walked a mile each day as a part of my recovery program(had DP/DR since June 2018). This was after two years of a sedentary lifestyle and sleep deprivation, as well as a high carb diet. I definitely noticed some benefits in my energy level and mood, as well as sleep quality and reduction of anxiety, which did contribute heavily to getting me out of the absolute hell that the initial stage of DP/DR is. Over the last 10 days I’ve been doing some more intense exercise on my exercise bike since the weather sucks right now, and I’ve noticed an overall reduction in my remaining symptoms, as well as a sense of tranquility and contentment, instead of being generally annoyed at what a slow process recovery has been. How has exercise affected your symptoms?

exercise makes my symptoms worse. I feel 10x more fatigued afterwards and there's more pressure in my head. Tinnitus gets worse as well. Overall i even feel a little bit sick after just small workouts.

sounds like exercise does wonders for you, so keep it up man ;)

If not contraindicated, exercise is certainly part of a healthy existence. Walking is an exercise that is made for maintaining human health. 35 minutes or more of walking four times per week should bring maximum health benefits.

If you want to throw in a few sets of squats, crunches, or pushups.....well knock yourself out!

Hey there! I can definitely relate to the benefits of exercise for mental health. I used to struggle with anxiety and depression, and starting a regular exercise routine was a game-changer for me. I feel more energized, focused, and optimistic when I exercise regularly.
