I was wondering if anyone looked into chineese or indian based medicines treatment and attitude towords mental illness.i read that the chineese look at the body and mind as a single unit and treat all illness holistically.Did any of you guys try yoga, tai chi, meditation, herbs, accapuncture etc in regaining peace?Love to hear your experiences if youve tried these things.Ive noticed a lot of anguish on this board from people comming off benzos etc.the western way of meds may only go a short distance along the road to recovery.Maybee a programme marrying the east and west could be a breakthrough!!

Like Person3 said in another post, I've tried just about everything short of sacrificing virgins to Satan (may he forever s**t light onto the heads of the damned), specifically to help with anxiety and panic. And nothing, absolutely nothing, has helped, except benzo's and some SSRI's.

Saying that, never knock it till you try it, that's my motto. Well, it's not really, I think it's all a tremendous waster of money, but I have to say it for the sake of open-mindedness and balance.
